Lower legs removal for chroming?
If you go on gadgets sight it will explain the procedure, On mine the top 17mm allen plug was in so tight I could not get it loose with a Johnson bar and socket. Since then Ive heard that a impact gun will spin the plug out, I will try again in the spring.

Lower legs removal for chroming?
Thanks for the input guys. Where will they leak? From the upper leg seal? DUe ot the chroming process? The polished ones do look good, but don't you still have to remove them?

Not if you find someone who does it by hand, either with a buffer or good ol elbow grease. Rather "labor intensive" to say the least, but if someone's willing to pay, there's always someone willing to buff... With my all black bike, I'd tend to go for a gloss black powdercoat and black the whole thing out as much as possible. But that's just me... ![]() Good luck, Daryl Login or Register to Remove Ads |

The original owner put chrome forks on my bike and they have never leaked, I think there is a place that offers an exchange program on chrome forks. I cant remember where I saw it but you want to try to find them and give them a call.
