This sucks

I read the other day in the newspaper about a 42 year old woman being shot multiple times by 2 teenagers in Mesa. At first I though "oh another shooting in Mesa. Glad I moved from there".

I found out this afternoon that the victim is a woman I work with. She had stepped out of her vehicle to pick up her mail in her apartment complex on Tuesday evening and these two punks (16 & 17 yo) walked up and tried to carjack her. She thought it was some sort of prank and took the gun from them. They started beating on her and after she was down, they started kicking her, breaking one of the orbital bones in her face. Then these pieces of human excrement shot her multiple times. She pressed the panic button on her key chain and her truck alarm started blaring which attracted witnesses. The two scumbags ran off, but were apprehended by Mesa PD. She was airlifted to a nearby trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

I found out that she has been moved out of the ICU today and is able to talk. Her attackers were gang members and she is going to be living in fear of retaliation for a long time.

This has nothing to do with motorcycles but I just wanted to post it and vent a little about the sorry state of society today. I hope these dirtballs get proper punishment for what they did to my friend. I know I'd be willing to "punish" them.

that sucks Scott. Vigilante justice is growing in the US....Pretty soon we will be able to cap one of those pieces of shiit and no jury in the country will convict us.

There is no (zero) chance they will be "rehabilitated" while in prison. Nor should they ever leave prison. Nor should taxpayers bare the burden of keeping them in prison. That leaves only one option. Execute the SOBs! They forfeited their right to life when they committed their crime (and I bet it was not their "first)

i believe if they what to shoot people put them in a plane and ship them to iraq.they can shoot all they want,maybe it would spare a few of the poor lagitimate young soldiers we lose daily.

Take them out and shoot them a few times. Nothing that would kill them. Just cause pain. Then kick them a few times, you know in the face and balls, when they beg for mercy, and they will, shoot to kill.

They are slimeballs and will always be nothing but. I remember when Angola State Pen in Louisiana was the worst of the worst. The able bodied prisoners have to work on the huge farm every day. The prison is self supporting with meat and vegetables. Those that refused to work were remanded to solitary confinement and fed bread and water for weeks or months until they submitted. I don't know if they still handle them that way but they do have to work if they are healthy. Those punks would get at least 50 years at hard labor in LA. That would mean they wouldn't be released on good behavior until after serving 25 years. That's a long time to think about what they did. As far as restitution......how do you get blood out of a turnip? Scott, I sure hope and pray that your friend has a full recovery with little long lasting effects. She'll probably be in fear for the rest of her life or until she moves away.

Our bikes seem pretty unimportant compared to something like this. My best wishes for your friend, I think a lot of folks here, me included would love to join you in handing out some retribution.
