Winter is almost here

Southern Alberta had it's first snowfall yesterday morning and the temp went below freezing last night. I think we had almost 2 weeks of summer this year; we have gone from spring right back to winter. It's cold and wet today and the forecast is calling for this weather most of next week. The Nomads are in for a long hibernation this year.

CycleCat , I don't like hearing posts like this. That means it won't be long before I have to put our bikes away for winter. I don't like to be reminded. :(

MAS Tequila, you are welcome to that 93 crap. I hate it that hot. It was 65 here today and we rode 322 miles. It was great.

Winter is almost here

As long as there is no snow, ice, or salt on the roads, I ride year round. My bike normally only sets for a couple weeks at a time during the winter. I'll ride with the temps down to 10 degrees or so.

Winter? Ha! It was about 108 here in Phoenix today.

Correction: 109 degrees officially. A new record high for this date.

Don't I know it Scott! Had to fly into Phoenix on Wednesday, and back on Friday. Short, busy trip, but it made me miss the 75 to 80 degree highs we're having in Colorado. Gets down into the mid 30s at night. Probably won't be too long until we see a few snowflakes flying here too.

Ah SNOW ! I know it's heading my way to sooner than I want it too....... The nights are getting cooler now, but the days are very nice for riding, always liked the fall time for that.

I rode up to Flagstaff today, then up along the rim (7000') and then we dropped down to Camp Verde, it was very hot there, and even hotter here in the valley. Thankfully, the sun was going down on my way home, which takes some of the sting out of it.

+...1
I do the same ..only times not riding is in snow and ice.
Because of the salt on the road..eats away the bike no time.
For all the rest..all season rider.
In the house I don't even have a stove.
I wear my bikers leather suit and save a bundle on energie.
;) ;) ;) :-*

I am still waiting for fall here in Texas. 94 degrees here today.

Storing my bike for the winter means not riding it for 2 or 3 days till after the cold front passes thru.
