Forecast for Saturday includes ice pellets [isn't that what snow is?].

So, the first annual Florida ride in the snow will be held in Melbourne, Florida. Remember, dress is flip flops, shorts and tank top. Plan on a brief, very brief ride.

I am not riding this weekend. Bike is in parts in the garage for some work. I wish I could ride though.

Ice pellets are even less fun than 30 degree temps. Its like someone is throwing needles at your face. ;)

I can vouch for Coach and the Mrs. They do know what gloves and jackets are. Saw them in December. They just don't know what real cold is thou.

My Buddy & his girlfriend were in the Port Charlotte area for 12 days and when he got home he said he didn't think Fla ever got that cold until this trip. But he did say the temps went up during the day to 60's & 70's. Our high today was 26 but even our lows can't come close to what Iowa is experenceing. Brrrrrr I guess it all depends what part of Fla your in for the temps that have been real low. Coach do your daytime temps stay in the 30's? Or are they the morning lows?

Got up early (8:30 AM and yes I am retired) and went out to Breakfast today (in the pickup). Was meeting the gang from SCRC Chapter 115. It was 29 degrees according to the weather channel. When I got outside it was spitting stuff that "felt" more solid than rain. Then while I was at restaraunt wife called and said local news just reported "snow on ground in Daytona"!

The sky is falling ............ the sky is falling ............ OMG!!!

Day time high today was 35...lows have been in teens. We had sleet and snow this morning.

Al Gore is a liar!

so, if it's 26 degrees w/north wind of 17 does it matter if you're on a bike going 55? hmmm this could be a bad idea to go out today.

Actually it was a great day to ride - a little breezy and cool to start. Rode to Orlando for a fund raiser for the Russel House. Got up to 45 by the time I got home so not too bad.

Glad to have the rain over for now.
