Helmet Speakers / Quality and Comfort

I have Vance and Hines pipes on the Nad so needless to say it is a little loud. I currently put earbuds in my ears to listen to my tunes on long rides but would like to transition to some good helmet speakers.

Looking for some good suggestions and I only want to make the purchase once. I want good quality and comfort.

My wife and I use the scala team set. I would give them a 8 out of 10 on communication and a 5 out of 10 on music quality.

Although they sound ok, I don't think you will find any helmet speakers that sound as good as the ear buds directly in your ears.

I tried the helmet speakers, unfortunately, the sound isn't good. Not that the speakers weren't good, but they are too far away from the ear. I pulled them out and went to some Skull Candy brand earbuds with clips that fit over the ear and don't fit as far into the ear as normal earbuds. Ear buds really bother me, and this was the next best thing I could come up with.

I use the helmet speakers from the Scala multi set with the 3/4 lid when the wife is riding her bike. I use Koss buds that go into the ear canal when I'm alone the Koss really sound good.

If the pipes are so loud you can't hear your music may I suggest quieter pipes

Autocomm speakers, good quality.

Scott, they also supply foam pads with velcro both sides to bring the speakers closer to the ear?

The scala set came with foam pads too, but it definitely doesn't have the sound quality of ear buds.

No, he just needs a bigger amplifier.

Here is what I have been using before I mounted my Cycle Sound speakers. I have used many different brands and have liked this set THE BEST!! I also have their volumn control with the metal knurled knob.
