1-least rebound and 4 is the most rebound. Single riders 1-2, fully loaded 2 up riding 3-4 your preference. Oh and welcome by the way. You can learn alot sitting around here. :-)

Check the air pressure too, if its been a while there might not be any in there. Do not use a garage air line or one that plugs into your car lighter. It has to be done with a zero loss hand pump. I run 30 psi in mine and the shock preload at 4. Me and the wife are heavyweights !

hey guys....thanks.....I AM learning a lot just lurking....by zero loss pump are you talking about a bicycle type of pump?.......I also have a C50 that was my first bike..which i have worked on extensivly (I am fairly mechanically minded)...wanted to move up to a bike with better road manners than the C50....the C50 is still a good bike around town ....I was the one who bought lowrevs bike a couple of weeks ago

It's sort of like a bicycle hand pump, but it has a special valve on it that allows you to connect and disconnect the pump without releasing air from the shock. Those air bladders are quite small and even just a small shot of air out of one will change the pressure by a few pounds. HD sells a good one, I think most of us have the Progressive brand though.

I know some bicycle pumps have zero loss fitting but those I've seen go to about 300 PSI. The one you need for your bike is sold by progressive and harley and has a range of 0-60 PSI. You'll need that one to "tune" your rear shocks. The cost is about $50-60.

My wife and I total about 370 pounds and I like the shocks set at 30 pounds with the damper set at #3. It gives me a firm, controlled ride in the twisties.
