Tire help. Stranded in Florida

Hey,

I'm doing a large cross country tour with my wife and we will be spending the next few days in Titusville Florida. On Sunday I went out to lunch with a group from the forum and during the ride after lunch, I picked up a nail in my rear DS tire.

The reason that I'm writing this sob story is that I need to borrow a jack from someone in the area. I'm very competent in working on motorcycles and would prefer to do my own work. I will be here until Friday and would like to get the tire changed ASAP.

Can anyone help me out by lending me there jack for an afternoon? I would truly appreciate it.

OK OK...I spent the day at the shooting range and haven't had a chance to respond.

I still don't have a jack. Help would be awesome!

OK, I'm a bit mechanically challenged but.....can't you pull the nail out and plug it without using a jack? Does the wheel have to come off to do it?... What is a "DS" tire ....Just asking.. :-/

Last thing I heard from Jared was that he had not yet gotten a jack. I offered to take it over to him but he was hoping for someone closer, didn't want to put me out by going over there.

If you don't find something tonight Jared, call me in the morning and I will see what I can do for you.
