Ram mounts are popular and there is a place in here in Ontario Canada that makes some really nice mounts, its called Burwell Fabricating I think.

I found a full Ram mount for ipod on amazon.com for $26. that's half of the cost on the Ram site.
I just went to get the link and they are sold out of them. PM me if you want I can give you the link and they will notify you if it becomes available. I would go with the link Ballast posted. That is a good price. and available. |

I have been trying to find a mount for an Ipod Nano 4th Generation and am having no luck. Emailed Ram mounts and they said they don't have one and none of their mounts will fit the 4th gen Nano. Does anyone else have the new Nano and found a way to mount it?

Try express mounts as per Charlies reply. I e-mailed them my information as far as the size of my MP-3 and they came up with a solution, and e-mailed me right back.

The dimensions of the G4 nano are only slightly smaller than the G2 nano. When I say slightly I mean it the g2 is 3.6 x 2 x 0.5 inches while the G4 is 3.5 x 1.5 x 0.3 inches.
I would bet that if you got one of those rubber or hard plastic proctective cases to put on your nano before you put it in the ram mount it would work. The one I got was made for G1 - G5 while mine is a G4 i think it is thinner than the early models and if fits in the mount but there is a lot of extra room so I took a piece of rubber mat and cut it the same size as my ipod. I put the ipod in the mount and then slide the rubber in behind it to guarantee a tight fit that won't come loose if I hit a big bump. Al is right too. IF you give them the dimensions of your device they will be able to tell you if they have an option that it will fit. |

This is a site the late Chuck Burt told me about. http://www.mountinginnovations.com/ I have not ordered anything from them. The owner was a good friend of Chuck's. That's more than enough reputation for me.

Good News, the economy must be on the rebound. All these companies I have e-mail must be really doing the business as they have not answered any of my e-mails. Whatever happened to customer service? A simple no we can't help you would be fine.

They just may be really to busy to answer right away, or at a bike show somewhere. I know that Burwell is just a one man show and has to do it all.
