New England Pics

Hey all,

I thought I would post some pics of the explorations of the New England area with the idea that they might help others plan trips. I will update this post with more pics as I get them. Hopefully over time this will become a valuable resource, and my photo taking skills will improve.

Kancamangus Highway, NH

South Shore of MA

Thinking about riding the Kanc this weekend. Always a great trip. Until the fall and the leaf peepers come out. Beautiful area.
Never tried the south shore. I always head North. I will have to put it on my list.

Yeah, there are some great areas that are best to stay away from during peak seasons like the Kanc and the Cape. Enjoy the ride I was up there last weekend, rode the Kanc for the first time with Macmac, was a nice ride.

Yeah it is. We are debating the Kanc or Hogback Mtn. in VT. Both very scenic. A few bikes, so majority will rule.

Pat, the first 3 are the sceneic vista in Intervale, a part of N Conway. The rest are on the Kanc, and a few are still on Rt 112 but up in lost River. Rt 112 is just a part of the Kanc.

I never heard of Hogback Mnt , but I don't know VT all that well. Guess I need to run a search..

Between the 2nd weekend of Sept thru that last of Oct this place will be mobbed..

Look out where you are going because the leaf peepers won't.... The will stop in the dead center of the road with no warning.. nada nuthin' El Zip.. Try to not hit them..

As fer you mugs comin to "My Woods" I live 15 miles south of the East Entrance to the Kanc..

I'll be pissed if you come by and don't say hi...

My bike looks like this now ::)

I'll give you a PM Mac if we are heading that way. I should know by Friday for Sunday's ride.
I am also heading to Lyman (near Littleton) for a long Labor Day weekend. I am hoping to pull the bike with my van and then day trip a few times. Too much gear and food to haul in / out for the bike alone. Will be about 4 miles from the Moore Dam reservoir.

I know the Moore Dam..

It is likely family affairs will have me in Mass this weekend anyway... Unless we get the Hurricane.. I never rode in a hurricane before and don't think i really wanna try that.

for some reason I just get a black screen and no pics. However, in October wife and I will be one of those leaf peepers. I have to leave my beloved Nomad at home so we'll be riding GW trike. Our goal is to end up on the coast riding Hwy 1 and finding some good eats. Should be in the area for couple of weeks. Any suggestions for roads, eats, etc would be appreciated. We'll be leaving our camper at home so we be looking for mom/pop motels also. thanx in advance Jerry

n9151 , try the link now. Patrick set it as a slide show and my system wouldn't see it that way either. i altered the address to what you see and looked at stills.

Jerry,

The link below is to a thread with a couple of routes that were suggested to me when I was traveling from Boston to Dexter Maine. From Dexter you could continue east to the coast and come down Rte 1. Hope this helps
