I don't think the snow is ever going to stop this year. It has now been snowing since last Thursday, started out as a bit now and then and has snowed continuously since Sunday night. The wind is still pushing the snow and it's really starting to accumulate. Temps are also dropping by the day and this morning it's -5 with a predicted high of +1.

The ranchers in this area are now losing newborn calves to the cold and wet. The coyotes are now eating newborn calves while they are still alive because all of the rodents have gone to ground and there is nothing else for them to eat. The 3 big ranches in the area have lost numerous full grown cows to the weather and it is supposed to do this until Saturday.

Lethbridge doesn't have the snow we have 20 miles south. You've got the wet which is crappy in itself, but the snow is worse; it's going to take a month to dry up out here.

I hope things turn around for you guys. I want to ride to Med Hat and I'm afraid I'll hit some freak'in snow storm along the way.

I've been here in Ft. McMurray, AB since Sunday and the weather has been great, sunny, low to mid 20s. Hope the weather is improving in the rest of the Province also.

Cheers,

Elvis

What to hell are you doing in Ft. Mac? I hope you are there cause you have to be and not just visiting! I spent 4 years there. Yikes! I was happy to leave. :)

Visiting? Some of us have to work while others can take a ride and meet friends (in Hope). One more sleep and I'm home.

Cheers,
E.

Good to hear it CC, I've been riding to work these last couple of days, mornings are more then a little frosty but the ride home makes it all worth it.
I think I'll start doing some extended rides on the weekends now that the weather seems to have turned.

We can only hope the weather has turned, but you never know in Southern Alberta. We have seen snow in every month of the year so it can happen again and with all the fog we had here in March, I am still expecting some nasty weather.

We thinking of making the run to Calgary tomorrow for lunch at Peters. We were there a month ago and need to go for a long ride again just to let the Nomads breath.

at Keyano College, only a few weeks a year, though.

Bdog, I like your handlebars, they look higher up than the usual set-up, is it a photographic illusion or you changed them?

The Nomads look so sleek when solo'd out and yours is no exception.

Cheers,

Elvis

And today is susposed to be the better of the next 2-3 days.
