I suppose you could say the same thing about Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, and many other great artists... some of which I am sure you listen to.

I have to say you certainly have a unique way of lumping paedophiles and mass murderes in with drug abusing singers. At the risk of sounding trite it is really no suprise for a famous singer to end their life this way. We have all seen it many times.

Ms. Houston at least made it to 48 and bypassed the 26 club. A troubled life nonetheless. People like this have people that look after them. Somebody dropped the ball.

Very few women had a angelic voice like Whitney's in her prime.. As Scott said.... drugs and alcohol... Her ex got her hooked on drugs and turned her into a coke whore... it happens. It just shouldn't have happened to such a wonderful singer.

Greg, do you think these clowns would get mad if I said Elvis was a pill popping hillbilly and deserved to die because he sang like shit???

I guess I forgot the "King"... now there was a real case...

Seems like a few on here must wake-up in the morning, look in the mirror and get pissed-off at what they see causing them to spread their grief around all day... geez...

They's only so much dead ass we can kiss per thread Wompus. Right now Whitney's got priority. We'll kiss the other dead asses as the threads become active. Right now we got to hurry, and get Whitney's, before the maggots start gnawing on it.

OK?

OK?
Does that come with ice cream?

For the record, seriously, I have never liked her voice. I don't listen to much music,
but when I do it's usually Blues, and R & B.
Johnny Cash has only done one song I liked and it may have been his last recording.
For all of you greiving this great tragedy, I offer this.

When I started this thread my only intent was to comment on the passing of a person who, at one time, had a bright future.

I certainly didn't expect it to turn into this display of divisive, shameful behavior.

I'm sorry I started this thread.

I'm not. I'm not fussing with Wompus. To know Wompus is to love Wompus! My point was we can only convey a thought or condolences as the threads come in. There are several things I care about more than a pop diva passing.

Hell, I'm a loyal PGR member but I'm somewhat concerned about Whitney passing away. One doesn't take away from the other.

I'm sure thats the same thought that other guys have about this.
