The Idaho jack adapter

First time posting new member. New owner 2008/nomad
Was looking at the jack adapter. Does this fix the problem
of front to rear balance. When I jack my bike up now the front lifts
so much higher and the bike is not as stable.

It provides a flat, stable lifting surface for your motorcycle jack. If the front lifts higher, you need to move the jack towards the rear of the bike to distribute the weight more evenly.

It will fix that if you do your part. In the past with a lift you needed 2 small squares of 3/8" plywood for the frame tabs and to use the cast engine lug for a 3 point lift to be ballanced.

Doing work on the rear means the ft brake will be tired ON and the ft wheel blocked still. Doing ft end work means the rear brake will be tied down and the rear wheel blocked.

Dropping either wheel creates a weight tranfer problem unless the other whole is locked and blocked.

Here is one way to get the bike up high enough to use the adapter well.

Note there is a side stand block, that the wood is in 3 pieces, and the ceter section slips out to run in the lift.

last getting off the blocks is best done by turing them just before the bike comes down, and so you roll off the plank quickly.

Mac,Good pictures to show the lifting of bike. I have one of Bud's lifts and it works great. Makes lifting the bike easy and secure. Ride Safe. Dennis
