Where is your sense of adventure? It would be a grand experience for sure. 44 hours is the standard time for it. Gives you some time to rest some. I'd even scout out motels with PINK rooms just for you

Tammy probably won't do it with me. She had her fill of IBA stuff when we did the Ohio run.

adventure you did see the polor bear pictures... I think 44 hours would and can be done.. but thats still not allowing much time for rest... is this mostly slab riding or US1 type. if the its US1 that would be some stop and go and I would think wear you down quick but slab would just put you to sleep at the throttel.. :( but adventure well I guess you could call it that.... I Must be getting old a few years a go I'd be on front prouch ready to go. ;)
ride safe.

I though I read that the Origination point or one of the check points was here (Jacksonville... or Amelia Island... or Fernadina?) is that right? I am not interested in the 1000 miles in 44 hours. I did the Lake Superior Iron Butt (1008 miles in 31 hours 2 minutes) in 1989 and it sucked even on the Goldwing. But at least I don't have that to prove anymore.
But I would be happy to do part of the ride as moral support or be a relay point. Anyone want to come over here, ride a little, Cheer Ron on, then go drink some beer and eat some seafood?

Fernandiana Beach is a check point Ross. I don't know when we are going to do this but I will post when it does happen. It looks like I'll probably be doing the Legends SS1000 in March though.

The legends 1000 is the only Iron Butt for me this year. It's a warm up for the rally.

I did an IBA ride last spring. It was much more doable than I anticipated, but still not easy.

I wish I was in FL this time of year! This is some of the best time of the year for riding.

Mike,

thanks for the link's. I'm all signed up and plan to be in Jacksonville Wednesday night as well. Have you and CoachA picked a hotel location or did I miss that in one of the posts?

Leeanne is crushed and can't go. She's got a big thing at a local theater company going on then and she's the President. She will do one in the future.

Jim
