1500 Nomad RED rear turn signals???
Can you guys throw me some options for some RED rear turn signals for my 03 1500 Nomad. I've seen some Kuryakyn's (par# ?) on some 1600's, but not sure if they fit 1500's.

1500 Nomad RED rear turn signals???
There were two types of lenses used on the 1500's some have one screw and some had two screws holding them on.
I have the red lens on mine, but they came with the bike when I bought it. Ive seen them on Ebay in the past, some with a blue dot in the centre, but Im not sure if they are still sold there. Others have spray painted the inside of the amber lens red and apparently it works as well.

customdynamics.com has red lenses that look just like OEM. They're about $20 or less and they look fantastic. Not sure if you can see them clearly in my sig pic, but they're the best thing out there!

1500 Nomad RED rear turn signals???
Yep, those are the Kuryk. I like, but my 1500 Nomad lenses are held on by 2 small screws. I don't think the 1600 Nomads have the screws. But I'm wondering if the stock chrome signal houseing are the same size. How are the Kuryk, held in place/attached?

Just get a spray can of Testor's model paint. Transparant red, it works GREAT and you can do many lenses. A simple 3 light coats to the inside of the lens and you are done ! Use your stock amber stock lens and it will be red as red can be and works like a charm.

You are welcome.
Just to let you know it is Testors Spray enamel #1605 Transparent Candy Apple Red 3oz can and Walmart is where it came from $2.97 at that time. You can do I guessing 30 lenses with one can. What I did was trace the lens on a pizza box and cut the hole in it, then just push the lens in the hole so that the inside can be painted. Do light coats 3 or 4 and you won't believe a amber lens has now changed to red. Super simple and very cheap. Quote:

1500 Nomad RED rear turn signals???
Kuryakyn's website says their bezels / lenses fit:
Kawasaki: ’04-’10 Vulcan 2000, ’03-’08 Vulcan 1600 Classic/Nomad (Also fits other Kawasaki Cruisers replacing OEM turn signal lenses 23048-0001 or 23048-0002) http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...D/113/IMID/733 They look great too, but it doesn't say anything about 1500s. The OEM lens number reference should help though. |

Vinnie,
Check out this website. Scroll down almost to the bottom of the page for the red 2 screw lens for 1500s. $8.99 a pair. http://www.customdynamics.com/Kawasa...light_lens.htm
