New Victory bikes

Anyone seen those new Victory bikes yet? I saw one over near Cincy, Ohio yesterday, and that was the damdest thing I have seen in a bike. Looked like some kinda space ship on wheels. Seen one last nite on a commercial too. I'd not be caught on one, bet on that.

The Vision is either a love it or hate it bike...personnally I like it, my best friend hates it. The best way to describe it is as a "Scooter on Steroids".

That said, I will not be getting off my Nomad anytime soon. Whereas the Vision is bold and futuristic, the Nomad is classic and timeless. She has the smoothest lines and that classic American look. I love every bit of it, and always will. If you look at other Victorys, the front fender looks like an afterthough and is disproportional. The VTX has a silly looking tail-end. But the Nomad is symetrical, from front to back, and the essence of beauty...next to my wife.

Ridemslow...see the thread "Victory Demo Days" on page 2. I liked the Vision too, because it was different, I had great expectations before I rode it...what a disappointment. Couldn't wait to hop back on my Nad! The only bike I liked in their lineup was the Kingpin Tourer..and it would rate behind the Nad.
No shaft drives or watercooled engines either.

New Victory bikes

The Victory Vision has been out for a year now. I didn't like them at first, but after seeing a couple they kind of grow on you. A buddy of mine has one and he calls it "the world's most comfortable motorcycle". I'm not saying I'd run out and buy one, but they do have some really nice features.

I road tested them twice, they are a nice ride, but for as much or more than a Goldwing it just doesen't come close, no reverse, no abs and the trans shifted like a 49 panhead. Maybe there will be some used low mileage ones around soon for about 8G's, then I'll buy one.
