I can't come up with much. Utah only allows a maximum of 4 characters on personalized motorcycle plates. boo.

Idaho allows 6 places on MC plates. Just ordered new plates two weeks ago. I'm a fly fisherman and the Nomad is my fav fishing rig. Vest, fly boxes, net in the right saddle bag, boots and waders in the left bag and my fly rod tube strapped to one of the front forks with velcro strips. New plate will say FLYFSH. I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1971 and thought about USMC71

I came up with this to indicate my 25 years in the Air Force.

The Virginia DMV web site lets you go in and experiment with different combinations of letters & numbers and shows you how it would look on the license plate. The site will also tell you if someone already has the particular number you are looking for.

I have to agree with Doc It cost me about $120 a year for the tag I'm not going to spend another $50 on top of that for a personal tag and we have to pay the extra 50 every year

Mine is SPEEDBYU 1 :)
Please tell me that translates to "speed by you" and that you're not a BYU Cougar fan.

How many characters are you allowed in Illinois? In CA, you can go onto the dmv website, check out the various styles of m/c plates available, and even pump in different ideas for your personalized plate and see if it's taken or not. If not, you can order it but you must provide an explanation of what the plate means. For example, using "PHQ U" might take some creative explaining to get that past the folks that decide if your plate is nasty or inappropriate. But, something like my old plate, "1BD BLVD" (one bad boulevard) for my Suzuki Boulevard was easily accepted.

Go online and see if IL has the same thing on their DMV website. It really helps 'cuz you can try a multitude of combinations before submitting/deciding on one. See if "Mad Kaw" is taken. I always liked that one! Other ideas include banging the HD riders: "NotPork", "NotAHog", etc...

Food for thought...
Daryl
