Before my trip to Sierraville 6 days ago, I was down on oil a little. I also noticed that my little vial had collected a total of under 1cc of oil since I installed it about 30 days (and roughly 800 miles) previous. I washed out the vial and added another 12 ounces of Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer before we left.

After another 900 miles it appears to have only leaked less than 0.25cc of oil. (there are 0.034 ounces per cc, so basically that's about 3 drops in 0.25cc.) I'm pretty pleased, as we rode over 500 of those 800 miles at very high speeds (generally 80~100 MPH & above) and it hardly leaked.

Also it appears that my cam plug seepage has stopped. It was never much--just a thin flim of oil escaping around the rubber plugs--but it's nice that the oil treatment stopped it.

The Lucas Synthetic stuff isn't thick like STP either. I'd say it's about the same viscosity as 40wt motor oil.
