I had an 03 Nomad that did the same thing.

After changing the clutch switch, it was fine.

The Goldwing has problems with their switches. The factory puts some kind of product in them and the product goes hard over time and the switches start sticking.

This guy uses a Corning product to lubricate the switches at 4.30 in the video.
The guy calls it dielectric grease but he never tells you the actual name of the product.
