Passenger Footpegs
I'm looking to replace the passenger floorboards with pegs. Is that possible?
I went to the kuryakyn website, and the live chat support person told me that I first had to get Kawasaki peg mounts from the dealer. I'm not sure what that is. Has anyone ever done this before that could help point me in the right direction? thanks! -j Login or Register to Remove Ads |

You might have to get the footpegs from a 1700 Classic or Vaquero. The chassis on them might be different than your Nomad and they wont mount up anyway. You might be able to mount just the footpeg and not the bracket.
Take a look at the parts fiche at ronayers.com and see what the passenger footrests looks like for each model. If you don't want floorboards on your bike and don't carry a passenger just remove the floorboards and the mounting bracket. Why would you want to replace floorboards with pegs ?

This is the only thing that is made for our bike that am aware of and helps passenger IMO as they can push off with feet.
Note, they must be folded every time driver puts feet down as they hit the back of the legs and will not permit touching ground. When folded they will slightly get in way of inside of legs if you are short <30" inseam. http://marvellas.com/cart/index.php?...&product_id=51 |

Easy swap... Take a look at Ron Ayers or Partzilla microfiche... You'd need to get all the parts from 35063 and 35063A outwards. It's probably cheaper to find a set off a wrecked Vaq.

Take the floorboard apart and have a look. Maybe you can convert it into a footpeg with a grinder, some paint and some anti slip adhesive strip.

Or just find an owner of a Vaquero who would like to swap out his passenger pegs for your passenger boards... I'll bet there are a few of those out there.

I have a 2011 Vaquero with pegs and would love to swap for some floor boards!
Let me know if you still have them and no one else has swapped you yet. |
