You sure you don't have any air especially at the banjo bolt.
When I changed my fluid a couple years back I had a hell of a time as stupid ass me let the MC run dry. Only way I could get rid of it was to loosen the banjo bolt as I slowly pulled in the lever and make sure I still had stroke left as I tightened it. One little PIA bubble appeared and that's all it took...............Mike

Thanks for the patience with this guy's! I'll let you know when I've been through the process AGAIN 🥴 fyi, lost count of the hours, cleaning and inspecting. Here's hoping this time round I've got it.....and next project will have a shop lift to do this! Nearing 50 and working at floor lever in northern colder climate, just isn't like it used to be in warmer climates in my 20's!

Okay, all done again, can't see any air come out, doesn't feel much different.guessing it's possibly all good & I'm missing something else.
Checked for voltage at master safety-good, checked kickstand-no power to it, checked saftey to what I think is known as bevel gear(on top just before the drive shaft connection point)-no power. If I'm correct these both are linked into the bike down safety, correct? Detail I may have missed in this is, I did knock the bike over while it was sitting with no engine in it. Could it be the bike down safety. How will I check that? Oh, as I sit here next to slave side of bike, as I typing, I'm seeing a drip at the slave. Not sure if it's gasket seal or the bottom bolt. |

The one by the driveshaft is the speedo sensor.

that push rod inside the basket will come out of place whenever the Nut is off and the clutch lever is pulled, never touch that lever until the rod is in place and the Nut is back on

Oh yeeh, forgot that was the speed sensor. Yes checked the small hole in Ms Ms been completely rebuilt cleans out. Rod was/is in place. Used a little black gasket maker to see if it will seal leak. Going to wait for it to dry 24hrs and try again. Will maybe check the basket pack and the rod again. I hear the basket rings moving. It's getting closer, just a matter of persistence. Clutch would get firm, but I'm guessing the small leak was causing pressure loss.
Say degreaser....what's the RK police like? |

Update...been over everything now. Thought I had it finally. Pulled the bike outside after getting a new battery. Fired right up. And before being able to see if I finally got the clutch working....I had a bad clacky noise happening. Thinking it may just be a sticking valve, I let it warm up. Didn't go away, started to get smoke on rear cylinder exhaust.then stalled and no start.
Prelim inspection without pulling anything, I found right rear wire casing damage. Looked down the plug tube, saw aluminum shavings. Managed to get plug out, and could see what appears to be the teeth of the cam wheel. So I'm back to the start of this whole mess again. To sell or not to sell is now the question. Cuz this has got to be some crazy stupid thing to have a cam/timing problem again! In the meantime, went and bought me a 2016 HD Street Glide limited bagger! Cuz the Yami Roadstar just isn't quite the 2up material....&no fairing,no hard bags,no comfy seat, no tunes etc! |

LOL now that's one way to lessen the headache of a problematic bike: go buy another! Brilliant!

About right too. I had 6-7yrs of grins out of mine. Since then it has been a constant bastard. One thing after the other, has gone wrong with it. The poxy thing has really pissed me off. And has been close to being set on fire many times. Having said all that. I wont ever part with it.
