6.5 Speakers

So fellas I have a question. Right now I have a Clarion amp with some Polks that are stock size. Sound is ok but wouldn't mind more so thinking of getting the adapters to run 6.5's. My question is those that have that size what you got and how you like them. Thanks in advanced

Bill

Currently using Polk DB651's. Happy with them, while they still sound good after a few years, I'm thinking of trying either Polk mm652's or some infinity 62.11i's, so if anyone is using them, whatcha think of them. Also running Polk DB521's in the rear.

I am running the Polk DB651's with Randy's adapters and have installed Shark 3-1/2's where the glove boxes used to be, hooked up to the rear speaker wires so I have all four speakers in the fairing. I no longer have a trunk because I don't care for passengers so there's no need for sound there. I also have a Clarion XC1410 300 watt amp. It really puts out the sound.

I am also using a Clarion amp and using Kicker 6 3/4" speakers. They sound very clear at a volume of 7-8 with AVC set at 3 at highway speeds.

I bought my 6.5 MM652 MM1 Polks through Walmart.com. The seller also added the Kicker 6.5 speakers in the deal. All for $149.99. Both have a great sound.

Got them installed today was super easy and I can run the music louder and clearer. Was hesitant to spend the extra money when the other Polks I had did the job but now glad I did.

To those using the MM652's, did you leave the pods in or remove them? You have me seriously considering upgrading my db651's, reading leads one to believe that the mm652's sound better.

Randy in his instructions for the adapters said to remove them so I did. I did not try them with the pods in.
