GoPro solution

Been looking for a way to run power to my camera mounted in the back. The one up front is no problem mounted on the engine guard close to the power plug in. Was going to have a long cable run from the front to the back but came up with this . Told Ron at Pasadena Kawasaki to do what he'd do on his bike. If your in the Houston area I highly recommend him. The plug is on the lower left under the camera. Nice clean look and powered when the key is on just like the front one. I never ride without my camera rolling just in case. This covers both ends

Nice spot for the plug, You did not mention where the wires travel and the destination of the connection to power. This maybe a nice winter project for me to add to My list.

I had the mechanic do it. It's a factory plug just like on the fairing. I assume he wired it into a spare fuse under the seat. At 1st he was going to route a 10 ft USBC cable from the front under the seat and tank and under the back left fender so it would come out where the radio antenna is. He's a good guy and found a cleaner look.. very inexpensive if you can do it yourself. If I put a tool on something, I break the tool and whatever I touch with it so I let him do it while he sent my ECU to Ivan for the reflash.

Interesting having both directions covered. How big of a memory card do you have in them? How often to you clean/delete/make room?

Thanks in advance...
Ride safe, Smokier

Nice job bo1966! I have a Hero 2. In doing the math and from experience, I found that I can shoot almost 4 hours straight with the battery and SD card that I currently have. Seems to work well for me.

I have a 64 in each. I can get over 4 hrs. at 1080, 60FPS and set to super view. I generally delete them when I stop while riding unless it's something I want to keep. But I have just let it keep filming for a few hours. I've had too many close calls from the back so wanted to make sure I'm covered both ends and it was really cheap to have done. I just found out how to split screen both angles in the video editing software I use so looking forward to playing with that. I have a couple I put on youtube. Just search cokerjp on youtube. nothing special but learning

I have a 128 GB Extreme Plus card and I get 8 hours 12 min on that card with 1080 Res and 60 FPS setting on the Hero 5.

Love having both views. With each camera set to " super view" there is only a small amount on each side that isn't captured but the camera in my glasses get's those spots

TRIP. You should upgrade to the Hero5 black. I know the 6 is out but not enough difference for the extra $100. I have the 6 on my drone. Again, not worth it. Stick with the 5

I have a aux. fuse panel mounted under my left hand side panel, which is where I have my back up camera hooked up to. It peeks out between my left hand bag and the fender....my hard drive is located in my bag, inside top, using velcro for fast easy removal and installation. Also, use weatherproof plugs.....
