Wanna make my 1600 nomad louder

I've got an 07 1600 with V&H dual baggers, Dobek EJK, Chuckster K&N aircleaner, removed the smog stuff. I did remove some baffle insulation, tried all the insulation but noticed i lost some low end power, so i put some back on. I wonder if Rhienhards would fit, and if they'd be louder. Sadly i guess i want a Harley sound, i know i cant duplicate that, but more rumble without power loss would be great. Any bright ideas?....

Now there is 1 low budget way that you can improve on your sound....
Yank your baffles out, take off all your packing, cut the baffle in half, then reinstall and enjoy!
Then, if you need just a hair more rumble, go with the Chucksters Ultimate baffles....

You should've hear my Bobber Classic I have when I was experimenting, i used a set of cherry bomb mufflers on it.
I had sand blasted all the chrome off, blasted the cherry bombs, painted it all with VHT Black, then wrapped them.
Rode it over the cruise nite over in a local small town, all my friends were like 'holy crap! Now thats loud!'
They said it sounded like a Harley on steroids....
It was loud enough I had trouble hearing my Sena Wireless....so....I went another route, after going on a 400 mile ride....it was a little too loud.....
But....she ran like a spotted ape!

I just installed a set of Big City Thunder baffles and took the stock v& h baffles and cut them back to just the disc on the end and reinstalled. Incredible sound. More pick up due to Big City Head pipe baffle. Sounds real nice. Thing about this is you can use the remaining other half of the stock baffle to quite it up a bit or trim a bit at a time till you get the sound where you like it.

What he said! BCB's go up into the headpipes, which is extremely useful if you need more backpressure. Use them alot on like classics the have the bigshots or shotgun style pupes with no baffles....

Why? I have vance and hines baggers on my 1500 nomad and I am trying everything to get them quieter! I can dig anyone doing their own thing but be sure you really want to do it before you move forward!

1.75" inlet Harley pipes will work but you have to make an adapter bracket. That's my plan at some point

I have v&h baggers with stock Harley mufflers and they sound great. Not as loud as the baggers though.

Has anyone put a bolt through the V&H stock baffle on the end closest to the engine? A bit of resistance for back pressure, splits the exhaust coming into the muffler AND would help getting the darn thing out!

If you want a loud bike, talk to Topcat. TC is the expert when it comes to loud pipes.
