Just installed the KQR Brackets=Vaquero

So I just drilled the holes in my fender trim and the paint was left a bit rough. Should I sand And Seal the holes? I do not want the paint to peel. If So Then What would be the best way to go about this. And Products to use?
It's a 2016 so I'm Pearl White.

(I Hope this doesn't go the way of what is the best oil)

Keep in mind if it wasn't for bad Luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.

I have sealed things like that on bikes with clear fingernail polish.

I was gonna sat that too!
I've also done it to an edge of a cut on a chrome piece to seal out moisture

Works rather well

+1 on the clear fingernail polish. Could add a rubber gromet for an extra layer of protection...

What about Spraying Clear coat into a cup and use a Q-tip to apply. Seems it would last longer than nail polish? ??

Can't see why that wouldn't work too.

I like the rubber grommet idea.

What size holes did you drill? The picture makes it look like there is a bit of open space around the backrest attachment. I'm curious because I've been looking for a backrest for my vaquero and there's not a lot of options besides oem and one from BDD custom which I also have been considering. I think I would be nervous drilling holes in my bike in case I were to make a mistake.

The Holes drilled are 1" (spec) some have drilled smaller. Kawi has Indentations on the back side of the piece to drill. so you know where to drill. NO drilling with the BDD as far as I know. But I wanted the Quick on off of the OEM. I was scared to drill so I Bought a brand new bit and went slow. Its Plastic so not to slow,( It melts). But when the bit pushes thru you get what the pic shows. Have to drill from the back until the arbor comes thru. Then you can drill from the front. The pic shows I did not do that on that hole.
Regardless you are breaking the seal of the paint to the product and the edges need to be sealed

Thanks for the info...at least they have the drill holes marked, that's good to know. You would think they would supply a grommet or trim piece to give it a nice clean look where you drilled.
