Just ordered these, can't beat the price and they look great. One dude on Amazon said he didn't have to extend cables in a 1500 classic. Hoping I have the same experience on my nomad. Will let y'all know.

IMO---I wouldv'e opted for bars that where knurled in the center, especially going with the added leverage of apes. JUST ME

you can always have it done locally before you install them

Yeah, in retrospect that wouldnt have been a bad idea, hopefully they don't move too much... I guess I'll have to wait and see.

for $35 including shipping, what have I got to lose? ... $35 and an hour of my time

You probably won't have a problem, I'm an over and above type person, think about this too....
Riser clamp I always went with a one piece, if the apes ever split there weakest point is in the center of your risers due to the hole for internal wiring, one piece clamp adds some rigidity there.
I've always had folks doing the one eyed thing back at me like WTF
But remember above and beyond that's me
Too many years as a steel fabricator I guess
Cheers

In Canada they'll run you $100 shipped, I ordered them on denniskirk in the US and paid $35 USD shipped to my campground in NY

Well, installed the Emgo 12" bars, the look pretty nice, but I dont know how my back and shoulders are going to like them. They dont appear to be closer to me than the stock ones, in fact, they're probably further. Definitely higher though, I think they look nice, wont be able to ride for a few days to try them though.

Here's a pic
