A bit of history

Todays ride included a stop at Calshot Castle.Built in 1540 by Henry the 8th, to keep the "cheese eating surrender monkeys" out.

Just saw this post Mick. Great pic.

You certainly have a wonderful country with an incredibly rich history. The Mother country as we say.

My wife and I enjoy watching some of the BBC productions not just for the good quality, story lines, characters, acting etc., but because of the background settings with castles, village scenes with old thatched roof houses, historic architecture, etc.

I keep hoping to visit just one more time while I still can. If I do I'll ship my 650 VStrom and stay awhile. Canada Air has sales for bike shipping to Heathrow in about August.

I still know a few guys there from my Rocket III days and we still keep in touch.
