That could be, maybe the fan motor has sat too long.

Update; The bike had sat for a long time obvously. I believe now it may be water pump. the sound started again today after it warmed up. I tapped the water pump housing and it stopped. Bearing or totalwater pump exchange.I dont believe it is sucking antifreeze from resivior as it is still a pretty green and level is the same. What do you think?

Worth a look. I'm pretty sure all that can be serviced is the seal and impeller, everything else is in the motor. The coolant tank really doesn't change level much. It doesn't look like the impeller has any key or spine from looking a picture of the shaft so maybe the bolt backed off some it has left hand threads so counter clock wise tightens it tighten to 7.25 ftlb of torque. I don't see how tapping it would do anything but stranger things have happened.

water pump

Tried to take cover off for visual inspection of impeller.Bolts came out but could not remove cover,didnt want to break it.

It has 2 locator pins so it will need to come straight back not side to side or at an angle.
