I have lowers and chaps. Are you referring to a hard lower fairing?

The Nomad lowers are a nice piece of kit with an excellent mounting system. One of the best features is that one can customize the shape of the wind deflectors for under $20.

Another reason to ride a Nomad. I have four bikes and this is rapidly becoming my favorite.

You can take a piece of Lexan and make bigger lowers to block more wind.
Lexan cuts cleaner with a saw than plexiglass.

I use neoprene gloves and I can wipe the sheild with them like a wiper every few minutes.
I also carry a chamois tucked behind the wind sheild and sometimes at a light or other stop reach over and give the windshield a wipe if it is a light misty rain.
I think I may have the problem solved. Bought this on Thursday.

Very nice helmet . Should do the trick . I just bought a couple of helmets too . My usual 1/2 helmet and one made by HJC with a flip down visor . Haven't been able to try it in the rain but it sure blocks a lot of wind to the face . I could get use to that .

I spray my windshield with lucas slick mist . The water beads off quite nicely . Will try it on my visor .

Nice looking helmet, what brand exactly?
I went to a Nolan trilogy3-4 years ago and found 3 bonuses besides the add protection over my half helmets. 1. it was great in the rain with gasketed face sheild so no dribble inside, 2. much quieter on the highway and finally on long distant runs, I feel a lot less tired at the end of the day from the wind always in my face.

It's a Reevu FSX1 Modular. I wanted to try a modular helmet so that I had the ability to get a little air if the temperature got too hot when stuck in traffic or just needed to breath a bit! lol
It has the rear view optical device that lets you see directly behind you, takes a little getting used to but I think I'm going to like that feature. Not so much a problem on the Nomad but I also ride a BMW F650GS, mostly when I'm in the city, and the mirrors suck on that bike, they are set too low and narrow which really limits your field of view. And since it only has a tiny windshield that doesn't accomplish anything, going full face on that ride was the only choice.
I still have my Bell Shorty for the Nomad but I'll use the Reevu when it looks Like I might come into some rain.
