risers on nomad 1600

Is there enough slack to add 4" risers without the expensive replacement of hoses, cables, and wires. I am 5'6" and I'm pretty sure it would be more comfortable riding position for me if I had pull back risers that were a little taller.

I would say probably. It would be close. I have the Phat II risers and I would say they add about that amount.
I didn't need to change any hoses or add to the wiring.
Check out Chuckster Customs. 3" risers. He makes quality products and he's also a member.

I've been up your way a few times. Like everyone else just to ride the ferry across the lake.
Make plans to attend the SouthCentral rally in June. It's in Salem MO. Just a short ride from your place.
For more info check the Rallies and Rides section of the forum.
Hope to see you there.

I have the Chuckster's 3" risers & it takes up about all of the slack in the brake line.. 4" might just fit, but it'll be really tight.

I have 4" with 1.5" pullback on a 1600, stock ones work fine just some minor rerouting

Your 3" Chucksters plus OEM risers is probably similar to, or higher than just 4" risers alone. I had Phat II's on my Nomad, and like Budman says - they're also a tight fit. I put a 2" over-length upper braided brake line on just to ease the strain a little.

I live on the road to the ferry, so you had to go by my place. Always a nice ride.

When I spoke to Chuckster on the phone he said 3 inches about does it for stock cables and wiring. I installed his 2.5 inch risers and had to do a little adjusting, such as pulling the cable stays out of the handlebars. Where it can get tight is when turning. While the cables may seem OK with the front wheel centered you can put some real stress on them in a parking lot turn.
