You want to know what is a great value? My $10 toilet lid cover with padding added to it. Works great.

The stock seat just didn't work for me, even with a sheepskin pad. After 50-60 miles I felt like jumping off the bike. With the mustang, double that, but that's not saying much.

I reckon it's the shape of the seat that is the problem, the butt stop need's to be more defined, the gradual slope on the original is where my arse hurt's. A couple of hour's in the saddle and i have to stop, even sitting on a wooden bench is a relief,Ive never had a sore arse on any other bike that i have owned.

Check out diamondseats.com They also make a custom seat to the riders dimensions. I have used them in the past and was very happy with them.

The problem for me is being locked into one position and having my weight on my pelvic and tail bones. On my current bike, I can move around a bit and my legs are under me so as to take some of the weight off my ass.

My Nomad is the first cruiser that i have ridden, conventional bike's have the rider leaning forward so the weight is taken on the thigh's as well, this sitting back, looking relaxed and as comfortable as you please stance is a fallacy.I bet most long distance rider's would choose anything other than a cruiser.

seth lamm seats are well respected in the concourse community but everyone
says that his communication is poor and if you need your seat anytime soon
you should go elsewhere.being a one man shop if he is talking on the phone
then he isn't working on your seat.

you are absoulutly right.this why the adventure style bike with it's upright seating position and feet under the but have become so popular with the
folks who ride long distances.

You have to see the pics. If they guy had more pride, he'd never let that leave his shop.

The thread, but you may not be able to see it.

A blind man could have made a better job of that.
