The first and most important question is what year single stator motor do you have an early classic or later meanstreak or drifter?
You'll definitely need the rotor, ignition pick-ups, and outer stator cover from your dual stator set-up. The ignition pick-ups and rotor triggers are different. The early classic will be tough and you won't be able to put a second stator in it. You might be able to get a second stator in the MS or drifter motor, if the bosses are in there for a second stator. Also any 99 or earlier motor is a plastic oil pump gear motor. Paperwork that came with it says its a 2000. And where are the ignition pickups. Hard to swap?

The pick ups are easy to swap. Those are part of the wires that go through the stator covers.

Why not just swap out the parts you need from the donor motor?

Ya thats what i want to do just making sure i can. Both engines are 2000 so i guess i just have to get gaskets. Didnt want to get it apart and fund out the new motor didnt have the bosses to mount the second stator

The best way to find out is to take it apart and have a look, I'd assume the parts should be able to swap out.

The rotor nut is right handed. If an impact doesn't bust it off pretty easy then you'll need to find a way to hold the crank still. There's a special tool that holds the rotor or you can lock the primary gears on the clutch side with a penny. A strap wrench or generic flywheel holder may work, too.
