Nomads, 05 to 08

My 2005 Nomad is totaled. I was stopped for a red light but it didn't matter to the pickup driver behind me. For some reason he was unable to stop his pickup truck and caved into the back of my bike. Anyway, my funds pretty much limit me to buying another one up to 2008. I've seen a few in the TampaBay area, where I live, and was wondering if there were many differences between the 05 thru 08.
Thanks. Ken

Just the colors. Those are the only differences between 05 and 08.

So you weren't hurt ?

Insurance should cover the cost of a new (used) bike.

all of them look about stock The low miles 06 might be a good one if it has records and new tires the 09 is a different bike might want to ride a 09 and up to see if it fits those are the ones that have a lot of previous Nomad riders going to a Victory instead of the Nomad

Which begs the questions of were you injured and are you doing OK? I have friends who were permanently crippled and one killed, a Marine major, in that type of accident. Good luck with the search. I'm curious about what type of prices you are seeing.

I just ordered my shop manual and it is for 05-08 so it seems to be the same bike.

Edit: For price reference point in your search, I just paid $5895 for a pristine 2007 with 9200 miles. I got it from a local Triumph dealership and it included $100 towards mounting of new tires.

There are plenty of low mileage Nomads out there, you just have to find them.
Check craigslist,
If and when I wear this one out, I will again be looking for a low mileage 03 to 08 Nomad.
09 s and up, IMO, and from what I am hearing, just dont measure up.

Don't believe everything you hear.
The 1700's are not as bad as some people would have you believe.
I have owned a 1600 Nomad and a 1700 Voyager.

Glad to see you are still here and wanting to get back on the bike.

I always keep the bike in gear and watch the mirrors at all stops.
I also make sure that I have a path forward in case I need it.

Good luck and happy shopping.

How did the Voyager compare to the Nomad?
My friend bought a brand new Voyager and at 35k miles, the tranny took a crap on the Interstate. It was under warranty so he is back on the road after a lot of downtime......
