Vulcan - Thunder in the Ozarks 2015 Rally


Eureka Springs, Arkansas | June 23-25, 2015

Eureka Springs; Arkansas has been a popular resort town and vacation destination since the 1800’s. Nestled in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas near the Missouri border, Eureka Springs became known early on for its healing waters, Victorian architecture and historical significance and as a haven for artists, and now of course amazing roads for motorcyclists. Surrounded by three lakes, two rivers and the majestic Ozark Mountains, Eureka Springs is the perfect setting for what promises to be the largest gathering of Vulcan motorcycle enthusiasts ever.

Rates: 89.00 for a standard room, 99.00 for a room with a balcony, 109.00 for a Jr suite, 149.00 for a two room suite. Should you call the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks and you can't get the room option you are looking for you should ask for Cathy Handley, she will work with you to either get you in the Inn of the Ozarks or find you a spot at another nearby property.

Cabins sleep up to 4 with one queen & one double bed. Mini-fridge, heat and a/c . Bring your own linens. Indian teepees sleep up to 4 people. Two types of tent sites. Premium sites include water and electricity. Primitive sites no
electricity or water.

Rally Agenda

The agenda is currently a work in progress and the rally committee comprised of VRA & VBA Members are working together to formulate suggested rides, and activities. The tentative agenda is as follows:

Monday – Arrivals, Registration, Group gathering at local restaurant for dinner, then fun, fellow ship and movies around the pool at Rally Central.

Tuesday – registration open, breakfast at the convention center at Rally Central. Pre-ride meeting and announcements and then Individuals or groups can then choose from a list of suggested rides, or explore Eureka Springs. Dinner Tuesday evening at the Rockin Pig, followed by fun and fellowship around the pool at Rally Central.

Wednesday – Registration open, breakfast at the convention center at Rally Central followed by the daily pre-ride meeting and another day of exploring the area. Dinner on Wednesday at a local venue
followed by more fun at Rally Central.

Thursday – Breakfast at the convention center at Rally Central followed by the pre-ride meeting and the third dose of all the area has to offer. Thursday night is the grand finale with our farewell banquet and prize drawings held at the convention center at Rally Central.

Rally Meals

We have three options that are pre-pay and payment must be received by May 31, 2015. Payment is Non-refundable after May 31st.
  • Breakfast $37.50 per-person for all three days and includes gratuities and tax. Assorted chilled fruit juices, blueberry muffins, and breakfast pastries, fresh seasonal fruit, scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, and country sausage, hash browned potatoes, buttermilk biscuits, country gravy, preserves, fresh brewed coffee, and tea.
  • Vulcan’s Buffet Banquette on Thursday evening a feast fit for the God of Fire himself! $26.50 per person includes gratuities and tax. Tossed mixed greens with assorted condiments and dressings, potato salad, three bean salad, fresh fruit salad, pasta salad, cottage cheese and fruit salad, potatoes au gratin, rice pilaf, whipped potatoes with brown gravy, stir fried mixed vegetables, seasoned green beans, whole kernel corn, fresh wheat rolls and butter, carved roast beef, Carved glazed ham, & herb baked chicken
  • Breakfast & Banquette combined $64.00 perperson. If not planning on articipating in these meals you should still plan to attend the after breakfast gathering and pre-ride meetings, as well as the after banquette festivities and prize drawing.

The committee had another great conference call this evening! We're finalizing the shirt and patch designs and they ought to be available in about a month.

Also, we're discussing the possibility of having one of the local VRA chapter host a cookout and getting a live band come play during one of the evenings.

Does anyone know of a band in that area that may be interested in coming and playing?

Looking forward to meeting all you VBA folks in person at the rally!! It has been great working with Jared, Jay, Sean Terry, & Dave Jesse on the committee to answer your question on who is representing the VBA. From the VRA side of things there is myself, Michael Oldfield, Tom Taylor, & Dave Cooper who are all actually VBA members as well I think.

Yeah as I got busier with the VRA and keeping up with duties over there my quality time over here with you guys suffered terribly. That is one of the reasons this rally should be so awesome two great associations getting together!!
