Good on the dad, hope the kid is ok. Do that up here and you will probably be charged with assault and battery.

Depends on the state. I remember a father killing a guy the same way. Sheriff said it was justified. It was Texas.

About 20 years ago, the father of a young boy who was molested shot the perp in the back of the head during a prisoner transfer. The father was pretending to be talking on a pay phone as his son's molester was escorted behind him in a hallway. Father hung up the phone, pulled a .45 1911 and put one in the back of the guy's head. He went on trial by jury charged with 2nd degree murder. The jury acquitted him of all charges. He was set free. Now that is a success story IMO.
