Spare key

Do you keep a spare key on your bike and if so where?

And once again, I carry two keys at all times.

I learned the value of this the hard way after moving to a new town and locking my keys in the car while at work, 45 minutes from home.

After I tell everyone where I hide my spare key on my bike I'll tell everyone where I hide my house key is too!

Lot's of places to store a spare key or two. Just make sure you don't put it someplace that needs a key to open it. Also, if you are on a trip with a friend put a spare on his key ring and visa versa.

Also - when you get spare keys cut you should put the original key in a secure place at home. If you need to make new spare keys you don't want to do it with anything but an original.

Original at house one set trunk and ignition in side bag. Have one in billfold to unlock side bag and the one I use has a 6 ' long leather braided one that snaps on belt loop after I start the bike it goes inside my inter vest pocket
