Another option might be to eliminate the key? I have a Digital Guard Dawg keyless set-up that I purchased for my Drifter but which I still haven't got around to installing. I've just gone to their web site, and it appears that they now offer the "DGD-KIM-U" model which "lets ANY year make or model motorcycle owner go go keyless".Keyless is a bit of a misnomer - you would still need to keep your key, it will be needed to unlock the gas tank.

I think You still have to have the resistor because it is in the stock switch. I have slept since I looked into it .

My new switch arrived from Joe (www.chucksrerscustoms.com) today.

And I already have it installed.

Thanks Joe, once again you provided a quality product, and the instructions were easy to follow.

Got my switch as well not installed yet. I think i a going to ride my scoot to work tomorrow and make my maintenance dept install it. :) Is that considered an abuse of power ? Well they did say they would rather work on a motorcycle than do their normal jobs.

The one I got from Joe took all of 20 minutes to install.

I'm not working today, so I'm going to finish the stereo install in the fairing. I hope to get that all wrapped up today.
