A 195-60-16 is the largest that will fit a 1500.

Here is a good tire size comparison tool:
http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tirecalc.php

I also have a '99 1500 and am running a Bridgestone Turanza EL470 185/55-16 at 32psi in the back with a 150/80-16 Pirelli Night Dragon in the front. Since the speedo is cable driven off of the front tire, the back tire is actually going 5.6% slower than the speedo says. Or atleast I think so, I could be reading the chart wrong! Anyway, this combination works very well for me and I am extremely happy.

I have a 1999 Vulcan 1500 Classic which jumped timing and they tell me the engine is shot. Any ideas where I can go to buy another 1500 classic engine?

It will bolt in with a few mods from the 1500 carb motor.

There are others out there also.

@MAS Tequila

Can you tell me what mods you are talking about? I mentioned this to my mechanic and he was not sure what mods you might be talking about or if they would do them. I dont really know anything about this. I am just a rider not a mechanic lol. Also can you tell me what years of the 1500 and the 1600 will fit my bike so I can start looking? The one you linked was several states away from me and they would not ship it.
