Scott - I have reservations. Hope to make it. Will depend on my ability to do a long ride. My recovery is going well.

If I bought "lightly used" it would only cost me $3-4K out of pocket after selling the Nomad.

Another thing I think you will be pleased with on your new Victory is the fuel mileage. Easy 200 + miles on one tank.
I'm pretty sure there isn't much I won't be pleased with on the XCT...!!

The 3 biggest/best Victory forums are: www.thevog.net, www.thevmc.com and www.cross-riders.com.

As totally awesome as the Victorys are, don't think you'll get much out of Victory corporate.

While you're planning for meets and rallies, don't forget AVR (American Victory Rally) in Spirit Lake, IA every August.
The RT isn't that quick or fast, at least not with me on it, which is like riding two up. The C14 on the other hand hauls pretty good as does the K1600GT. It all depends on what you want.

$25-27K for an XCT? What did you add to it?

If I ever get one, I think I'll look at the used market first. I've seen several 2012 XCTs on the Victory forums with the stage 1 upgrade and other farkels for $17,000 or less.

congrats on the new ride! I love my Victory. I almost bought a blue one but decided on the red/silver. Hope to meet you and your new ride in Estes.

Congrats on the new ride Kris!

I have to confess, that if I were in the market for a new bike the Victory XCT would be high on my list along with the Vaquero ABS for consideration.

Haven't ridden an XCT but I did ride a friend's Vision a couple of summers ago. A very impressive bike and terrific handling, even in a strong cross wind. Other than the trans being a little clunky, I really could not fault it for anything else.

Looking forward to checking the new ride out in Colorado!

Congrats Kris. I'm lucky that I have two bikes in the garage, the KawaTanker and the BMW K1200LT. Both are long in the tooth but I like riding both of them. If I ever get in a financial position to buy a brand, spanking new bike, I have the XCT or the BMW 1600GTL on the list.

Have fun on the new ride.

Enjoy the new bike! My friend has a Victory Vegas and LOVES it. Its one of the older ones with the "small" engine, but it is a very well built bike and has tons of power. After seeing his I looked at the Victory, but I wanted a bagger. Didn't like the older baggers they offered and don't have the money for a new one.

I think Victory makes some of the best bikes right now, though some of them are kinda "spaceship" looking. If you are okay with the futuristic styling, the engines and transmissions are amazing, they are a blast to drive and are way more affordable than the orange and black.

I went and looked at the victory site after Kris posted this. You can get some pretty funky paint to go along with the futuristic styling. Arlen Ness Vision

Salami, Salami, Pastrami . . . I predict that your friend's Vision is a 2010 or earlier. JK, they re-shaped some gears in the Transmission in 2011 to get rid of the "clunk".

This is what I am seeing here, so not much different, but once one gets in the 25K range, it's rarified territory. The other touring bikes in that range are the Goldwing, Ultra Limited and the KGTL. Each one is a different machine, different ride. Like Brad, I am a cheap bastard, so it's a rhetorical exercise, at least for me.

Yep...the black one lists MSRP at roughly 22,500 or so. For whatever reason, the colored bikes are over 23K MSRP.
