Red vaquero with black saddlebag top rails

I'm thinking of buying a set of black saddlebag top rails. Has anyone got a picture of the black and/or chrome top rails on a RED VAQUERO. I need to see which I like better before I buy them.

Really, you can't visualize that in your head.

Unless you factor in todays inflation. Then a picture is only worth 843.602 words. They say things are looking up, though. Could be as high as 883-923 words by the end of the week.

If it were mine, I would go with black. Plays off the blacked out items on the bike better. It would have a great contrast to the red.

A friend of mine had black saddlebag top rails on his red Vaquero. They looked great (sorry, no pics). Unfortunately that bike is in bike heaven now. He also had the highway bar and saddlebag guards black powder coated. Pretty cool looking...

Hahaha...maybe! Interesting story about that bike....this is the only guy I know that had his bike totaled out in his enclosed and secured garage. While he was at work, a friend of his stopped by his house. As he was pulling into the driveway, instead of hitting the brakes, this guy hit the gas pedal and ran through the garage door pushing the vaquero through the garage and into the front wall. I saw pictures of the aftermath and it was crazy. The garage door was halfway through the garage with tons of crap laying on top of the bike. The insurance estimate to repair the bike was over $12,000. Needless to say, he's now riding a new 2012 blue Vaquero.

I can visualize it, but I'm thinking with the handle bars, front and rear crash bars all being chrome, along with various other chrome on the stock bike, which am I going to like better.

When they came out with the 2012 models I saw a blue bike and wanted it. Then I went by one of the dealers here in town and they had the black & the white Voyagers park right next to the blue & the black & the red Vaqueros. Lucky me all 5 models I was considering right next to each other. I spent 20 minutes walking around those bikes before I was sure it had to be a red one.

I want things to look a certain way and I can't buy the same part over because I got in a hurry and then didn't like it. I can't afford it. I've shopped around and found the aftermarket top rails that look just like stock in both black & chrome, priced with shipping less then $100 per set.

I've made a lot of custom stuff for my bikes by using something made for something else that gives me the look I want. That's part of the fun, but I'm always able to take it out to the bike and eyeball it first before I buy it or at least have the option of returning without charges.

I've seen pics of jendesigner's bike, and after seeing her taste I'd do whatever she said.

I have the chrome bag guards on my bike and I think it is just enough chrome to set it off. I will try to post some pics.
