Big City Thunder Baffles

Just wondering if any one with a 1700 and V&H Slash cuts have either pulled the baffles or installed Big City Thunders Monster Baffles? Comments?

The Monster baffles install in the pipe just before the "muffler" body. As long as the pipe inside-diameter is the same it should work fine. I have a pair of the Monster Baffles not being used, I just threw some calipers on them and they measure 1.59 inches.

The only trouble I can foresee is installation in the Left pipe, but it may be okay to install that one closer to the crossover rather than closer to the muffler. It should still do the trick.

I'm interested in getting rid of these baffles anyhow, if you're interested. I had them on a previous bike and doing something different on this one.

You're doing something different, AGAIN? Or are your current crotch rocket mufflers the "something different"?

That's what I was wondering, Monkey.

Jay, I really like the sport bike mufflers! They sound great and give the bike a nice look. Now that you've had some time using them, notice any clearance issues?

Loving the sport bike mufflers. I have touched the left side a few times, but only with my passenger, and only tight low speed corner and I hit a bump in the corner. Each time, I've checked the damage, and it's not noticeable without looking under the muffler, and the damage isn't bad.

I got a Yoshimura patch for my vest too

Oh, I did add a little extra restriction to the right side pipe to even out the exhaust flow. Now, the Left/right sound is more even and the two appear to have equal pressures coming out.
I like the crossover idea, but not ecstatic about the overall design and function of the OE system.

Nice! Whenever I get my Vaquero (who knows when), I'm going to hit you up about doing that set up. With your permission of course.
