Goona cost me $40 bucks for a hole saw i'm going to use once..LOL
No worries DG, yes you are correct, it was a 2" holesaw which I had already. My Nomad came with the baffles already removed (they were loose in one of the hardbags), so I used the 2" to cut out the internal lip left from the original removal.

I made up (as against 'knocked up' for Chris's benefit!!) a wooden 'plug' to centralise the holesaw and drilled away with plenty of WD40 as lubricant and it worked a treat. It makes a larger, neater hole. I put up a post when I first did it, but can't find it.

Anyone know if you can search your own posts??

Just be aware that a 2" hole saw leaves no margin for error. If you get off center you can end up cutting into the inner wall. Safer to use the 1/3/4" and clean up with a file or grinder.

Here's the link to the instructions:

YJ, is correct, you do need to tread carefully with the larger saw.

That did happen to me on one side, because the factory weld was not exactly centred. It was onlay a small opening which was easily filled with some metal epoxy.

Just thought everyone would like to know I was able to use the mounting points and allen head bolts from the bar Bud2rat sent me, on a new one I made.

A work colleague lent me a hydraulic pipe bender to bend a piece of new pipe to clear my Nomad's rear wheel. I then cut and ground the mounts off Bud's 1500 bar and welded them to the new piece of pipe.

With a coat of gloss black spray paint, it fitted up fine and does the job well! Thanks again Bud!!

Good Idea, that saved a lot of time over making new ends yourself.
