idle adjustment

Is there a a idle adjustment somewhere?

There is I believe. It is done with the right hand controls. You can adjust the idle speed in increments of +50 or -50 I think.
Never done it. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Ok, I found it via the pdf file manual Trip has a link to.. Will give it a go later today..

I want to say that i read somewhere that Kawasaki suggests that the idle be set at 950. I've noticed that when my vaquero is at idle it is right in the 950 area

Kawasaki has the baseline initial idle speed on the Vaquero set to '950', the -0- setting in the idle speed adjustment. Adjusting either positive or negative is based on the 950 baseline. You can adjust from 850 to 1100 rpm, -100 to +150, I'm running my Vaquero's idle at -50...
