Ceramic coat 1700 exhaust
Well got my exhaust pipe back from the ceramic coater. Looks so good i hate to cover it up with all the chrome heat shielding. Supposed to reduce heat 50%. We shall see. Also wrapped the crossover pipe with DEI titanium wrap. They could'nt ceramic coat that without discoloring the muffler.

It will be interesting to see if it does anything to reduce the heat passed on to the rider. Please keep us posted.

I didn't realize the claimed heat reduction that it offers. That may be worth it on the hot days.

Great stuff, I had the headers for my 87' Camaro done inside and out. They still look great and I did them ten years ago.

Aside from heat reduction, is there any other advantage and is it a long and/or expensive process?
Thanks for your time |

The pipe is ceramic coated inside and out so i would think the pipe would never rot. But i did it for the heat reduction only. The cost was $140.00 plus tax. Had it done localy. If you have to ship. You would have that cost. The wrap on the muffler pipe was $15.00 for a 15 ft roll. Still have half left. Took about a week to get it done.

The 1700's seem to run hotter than our bikes Gerry, Thats why guys are trying stuff to cool them down a bit.

Thanks I visited the site, looks and sounds like it should help your situation, let us know in the future how it works for you. I couldn't find anything on how they do the process, but it is probably similar to applying chrome.
