stalling

Had an issue with the bike stalling as I come to a stop recently. Didn't know if anyone else has had similar issues. As soon as it stalls I hit the start button and she fires right up. Running the same as it always has. It's done it 5-6 times over the past few weeks. It has been wet a good deal around this part of the country lately.

thanks

vin

It has been wet here also Vin.
I have the stalling problem at times. It doesn't matter what the weather is. It has happened probably 15 times since I have had the bike (5 years).
I just hit the start button and it fires back up. I won't worry about it till it stops firing back up.

mine does the exact same thing but seems to be random...some days won't do it at all and other days does it several times.

Low RPM's and too lean at idle are the culprits to this phenominon..

On my bike that was a sign to clean the throttle body.

I had the same issue a few times last summer. I adjusted the idle cable a bit ( the adjustment know down around the dog bowl) and it fixed the problem. Hasn't stalled since then. It didn't take much of a turn on the idle control to fix it, maybe 1/8-1/4 of a turn.

A low idle will sometimes kill the engine when you come to a stop.

Clean your throttle body bores and butterfly plates real good and see if that doesn't fix the problem.

That usually means your throttle body is dirty and needs a scrubbing.
