Posted earlier on this thread and it piqued my interest. Since the post I have checked mileage on every fill and used full numbers (no rounding). I'm right at 38 - 39 mph. It's not great, but not terrible either. Carburated 1999 1500.

That's right where it should be for that bike.

I would love to be calculating the mileage like some of you. Our bikes don't get 45-50 miles (imperial) to the gallon. I wish, but no such luck.

I calculate mine to the tenth of a KM and to the last drop of fuel and my recent average is 38.37 miles to the US gallon which equals 46.08 to the Imperial gallon so I'll have to disagree. My last trip out was 261.4 km and it took 15.082 litres which works out to 40.76 miles to the US gallon and 48.96 to the Imperial gallon.

I'm still getting at least one good time per tank of fuel, which equals "well worth the investment" per US or Imperial gallon. =D

My last tank calculated 126.3 miles and 3.25 gallons equals 38.86 this was in town only. I can and have gotten up to 43 mpg on open road with two up. I average about 41 two up on the highway. This is a bone stock 1500 that runs on 91 and does not ping and has never pinged. Appears to me less noise equals better fuel mileage.

My last fill up gave me 24.6 mpg with mixed riding. I'm still breaking in the motor. I hope it gets better with time.

I track my mileage on all trips. The last two fill ups were between 39 and 41 mpg (IMP gal). When my cruise control was not working my milage dropped - found I was riding faster on the highways - more than I would normally.
