Cobra Tri-Ovals on a Nomad 1700

Has anyone only installed the Cobra Tri-Ovals by themselves without added a Fuel Management unit or any Air intake mods? If so how does your motorcycle run? Do you get any popping or back firing on deceleration? I see Cobra suggests adding their Fi2000R when putting on the Tri-Ovals. Thanks for any input you can give me.

Azcruzer has tri-ovals on his Vaquero. Hmmm, "Cobra suggests adding their Fi2000R when putting on the tri-ovals". Maybe that's because they sell both components? ::)

As a rule, if you are just adding pipes, you shouldn't need a fuel processor. If you are only modifying your intake you don't need one. If you modify the air intake AND add pipes, then you need a fuel processor or your bike will run too lean. More air in<>out needs more fuel to balance it.

I wonder if that is true if the bike has a closed loop fuel management?
