Bobby, There were several tornado outbreaks down here. One of them passed just 1/2 mile north of my home. My 33 yr old son happened to be right in the path of one on his way home from Laplace, LA. He said it was raining so heavy that he could barely see past his hood and was only moving at 10 mph or less. He thought someone had teboned him when his car suddenly jumped over the median and wound up in the oncoming 2 lanes. It was one of the tornados that had passed over him and those around him. When he called me he was literally crying out of fear. No damage to his car but there were pieces of roof and metal awning all over the road in front and behind him. It was his lucky day. Thanks for asking.

Mitch, I really am glad to hear you guys are ok, especially your son. Wow !! What a close call ! Fortunately , Baton Rouge was spared. Just some wind, and a lot of rain. Connie and I have been in north Louisiana this weekend, so we missed all the excitement. Thank God all are safe .

Hope everyone is alright. I always worry about our eastern neighbors in bad weather.

Mitch we (Missus & I) are sure glad no one in your family was harmed. Becareful out there.

Thanks guys, everyone on my end are OK. People in Rayne and Crowley weren't so blessed. I read where over 50 were injured and 1 was killed. Springtime in the South and Midwest can be violent.

Mitch glad your son was fine. Glad to hear no one we know was seriously hurt.

Read where one lady was killed protecting her child. Such an awful thing to happen.

Glad everyone is OK. Tornados are amazing the way they will destroy something and leave something else right beside it.
I will miss Crowley this year. Our church is staying home to work where the storm came through near here. I hear the Church we partnered with in years past will be near Jamie's at Yazoo, MS. for spring break this year.
Everyone be careful and pay attention to the weather, especially during the spring storm season.

Mitch, glad to hear all are ok.
The storms passed over here pretty strong too, but thankfully no tornadoes. I was at work and the wife spent a little time in her closet. LOL
