Fellow Darksiders, i have a question for you. when it comes time for you to replace your ct, will you use the same as you have on now ? Im running the sp5000, and due to over inflation,(running out to sturgis) last year, i have prematurely worn the center down on my tire. I do really like this tire and will probably replace it with another one. was just wondering what others thought they would do when replacing their ct. thanks.

That is an excellent question. I just put mine on (sp5000). I still have to get sweet spot figured out.

I have same tire and am very pleased with it. I would replace with the same tire.

I will most likely go back with the SP 5000. I am pleased with its performance and very slow wear. A good 2 up trailer towing tire, shorter than the 180/70 I was using before giving more pulling power. No reason not to repeat.

I have no complaints with my SP5000, other than it is short. I might try to go with a taller tire.

I'm on my second CT. The first was a Federal 175/60/16 which was a great tire. Now I have a Continental Vanco 185/75/16.

What a difference. The 185/75 is just hands down superior in all ways. That extra sidewall and heavy duty construction make it a dream to ride.

So I'll stick with the truck tire.

Not a clue. I'm running a Continental Vanco 8 lt truck tire also. It is tall enough to correct speedo error which I like. Will have to wait to see if they are still around or if I need to find another.

I'm running the FaulkenZeix512; 205/65 and love it, however I will not go back with that tall of a tire again. Or that wide of a CT IMO a 195 is plenty wide enough. But to answer your ? I am pleased with my CT just don't like the looks of that much tire under the rear fender, I guess it wouldn't bother me that much if I would replace the rear fender with a custom stretched rear fender.

Goose nearly stole my thought. I have a 205/60-16 Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread. My first tire was the SP5000, and compairing the two, I have to say I might either go back to that tire but most definitely the 195/60 size. I'm very pleased with the looks and tread pattern of the GY however.

Vredestein Quatrac 2 in 195/60 replaced the SP.
Like it....probably better than the SP. More rounded profile. Aggressive looking directional tread.

Lonewolf, if interested let me know and I'll forward pics and order info.

I'm running on a General Altimax 205/65/16 and I have to agree with the other guys,I'll buy a 195/65 next time around and the Altimax doesn't come in that size.
The good news is,I won't have to worry about that for a long time.

I won't need to replace my Conti 185/75/16 truck tire for the life of my Nomad so having a spare (don't make that size anymore) is not too big a worry for me. I have 9K miles on it including the Custer trip and it barely mikes out 1/32 less than new. That should get me 50K or more out of it.......

I really like my Continental Vanco 2 195/65R/16. Running 28# pressure now and it stops better than any bike I have owned. Little bit of movement on roads with uneven tracks but not enough to make be go back to the MT.
