Cold Sad Ride Today

It was 29 degrees when we met this morning (PGR) at 9 am at the Wal Mart for the ride to neighboring town's high school for the service for the young 20 yr old CPL. Then escorted the young soldier 25 miles out of town to a small country cemetery for his final resting place. CPL Keith Essary was killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan last week.
Never fogotten.......................................... ...................... :'(
God bless our servicemen and women.

When I read the title of your post I wondered how you can be sad while out riding, but after reading your post I can see why.

My son will be 20 this year and I can't imagine what the parents must be going through.

Rest In Peace CPL Keith Essary

Thoughts and prayers to the family.

We just held a fund raising dinner/auction this past weekend for The Sgt. Dennis Flannigan Foundation. Dennis was one of my runners on the track team back in 2000, and was killed 3 years ago in Iraq. We have a scholarship foundation in his honor that has raised over $60,000 in 3 years since his death.
