Thanks Mick for the links, great place to start. The chains as you say are twice the price of Kawasaki chains but a lot cheaper than if the Kawasaki chain brakes.

Replaced both staters and regulator/rectifiers this past summer, stock parts. Wasn't taking any chances with aftermarket. Have been riding this bike for quite some time, purchased with only 24,000km....
